Why
should I
adopt a Ragdoll?
The Ragdoll breed is known for its soft coat, large size, docile and intelligent personality. Their name comes from their propensity to flop like ragdoll when picked up. The Ragdoll is ideal for anyone looking for companionship. They prefer human company over isolation. The Ragdoll is playful, but not competitive. Curious, and laid back. The ragdoll can come in many colors and patterns, but what makes the Ragdoll is more than appearance; it is soul.

Can I visit the Masterpiece Ragdoll Cattery?
Yes! By appointment only.
Please understand that we are as busy as cats in a litter box! We reserve certain times for cattery cleaning, vet visits, cat chats, and in-person kitten selections. We want to meet families who will love our Masterpieces!

What can I expect to pay for a Masterpiece Ragdoll kitten?
Masterpiece Ragdoll prices will vary based on markings and pedigree. The base price effective 1/1/2023 will start at $2,100 including spay/neuter surgery, HomeAgain Microchip, FVRCP vaccines, and deworming. A ragdoll kitten of “pet quality” will range from $2,100 – 2,500. Show quality and breeders are priced $2,600 – $5,000. Breeding kittens are only available to approved, established catteries.
All kitten sales will include a photocopy of the official parents’ pedigree, South Bay Veterinary Hospital health record & vaccination documentation, a gift package containing Life’s Abundance all-stages food sample, and post-acquisition support for the life of your ragdoll. Our contract is published and downloadable.

Is delivery available?
Yes!
There are multiple ways in which your Masterpiece can get to you. Air cargo is possible through American Airlines. Fees vary and we do what we can to help keep those costs down. We also have a flight nanny. Kristi is a fantastic pet nanny who knows her way around major airports and airlines. As long as you’re willing to commute to major cities, that cost is reasonable. If door-to-door delivery is what is needed, we have you covered in that case, too. Just let us know. We can’t help if you don’t share your needs!

When can I collect my Masterpiece Ragdoll kitten?
If you have placed a deposit and have been placed on the waitlist, you will be contacted with a private link containing pictures when the Masterpiece has reached the most photogenic age (about 7-8 weeks). At 11-12 weeks of age, your Masterpiece will be neutered/spayed by a veterinarian. Once she has fully recovered, she can go home.. Final payment is expected at the time of acquisition, or if flying, before the date travel commences.

How can I best care for my Masterpiece Ragdoll kitten?
We believe strongly in the FVRCP vaccination. We perform this at 8 weeks, 12 weeks, and highly recommend you take your ragdoll to the vet by the 16 week mark in order to get a third shot, along with a Rabies vaccination. https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/vaccines-for-cats
We are big fans of Life’s Abundance All Life Stages Cat Food – for shiny coat of hair, pleasant (as possible) elimination, and autoship options.
We use Precious Cat kitty litter – it is the best at clumping and the most economical on the market. Note: we use Petkit tofu clumping or paper pellet litter for kittens until they are around five months old.

Can I expect support for the life of my Masterpiece?
Yes. We are here for you. You’ve welcomed one of our beloved ragdoll kittens into your home and we don’t take that for granted. We hope you will call on us in time of concern and celebration. If you have questions about how best to care for your kitten, we hope you will reach out. If you have a photo, we hope you will share it with us via text, email, or social media. Like you, we expect many wonderful years for you and your Masterpiece.
