Adopting an Adult Ragdoll Cat
It takes a special person to connect with a retired breeder or previously homed adult cat – even with a floppy ragdoll. Adults take time to adjust to a new environment. They will have a fully-formed will and will require a their new guardian to be discerning and patient.
There are advantages to adopting an adult, too.
- Adult cats don’t require the energy of a kitten who is busy throwing litter from the box or running zoomies at nighttime.
- They are better at grooming themselves.
- They are finished with the teething stage so you needn’t worry about cords, blind pulls, shoe laces, etc.
- They also have established feeding habits which makes caring for them considerably less trial/error.
If you believe that you are a candidate for an adult cat which we are rehoming, we encourage you to reach out. We take rehoming very seriously and we expect you to do the same. Our rehoming fees are quite reasonable. Our main concern is that the Mr. or Mrs. goes to a stable, consistent home which is dedicated to providing a high quality of life.
Please note: occasionally, a ragdoll cat posted here is not a Masterpiece Ragdoll. Sometimes we assist other breeders in the community with their rehoming efforts. Any time that is the case, it will be noted in the pet’s description for full disclosure.
